TOWER - Hotel and Leisure Centre

We are priviliged at the Tower Hotel to play host to some of Waterford's finest weddings and it gives us great pleasure to receive such lovely feedback from our Brides & Grooms.

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and John to say a huge thank to you and the rest of the staff at the Tower Hotel for the part you played in making our wedding day on 8th April 2011 a huge sucess. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel exceptionally welcome, and it seemed as if nothing was too much trouble. Our guests were also delighted with the reception, and several of them have since commented that they would recommend the Tower Hotel for future events! We got lots of compliments about the food as well. So thanks again - we had a ball - and are delighted we chose the Tower Hotel as the venue.

We had a fantastic wedding day in The Tower Hotel. I couldn’t recommend this venue more. Everything was just perfect!

Planning & Booking

We had been to three other venues that day but the minute we met with the events team we felt at ease and welcome. We both knew that The Tower Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We were offered tea and coffee as the package was explained in detail. The package had far more to offer than any of the other venues we had been too. We were very excited.

The wedding package was so reasonable that our families and friends who had travelled from all parts of the world were able to stay for a few nights around the wedding day. This ment that we had time to spend with them before and after the wedding day. It also allowed our guests time to see Waterford city and spend time in the hotel’s lesiure centre which is fabulous. Everybody commented on the staffs friendliness ,professionalism, competence and willingness to help them  in anyway. Nothing was too much. They were all so polite, and attentive despite the fact that it was a bank holiday weekend and the Spraoi festival and they were obviously very busy.

Catherina, Avril and the team were fantastic to deal with. No question went unanswered. No problem too big. They were always smiling and eager to help. They have so much expereience and confidence in their jobs I felt confident and at ease. I knew we were going to have a brillliant day. The girls had loads of practical advice and were always at the end of a phone or email. I felt like they knew me and understood what I was looking for. I felt they really cared about my special day and were excited about it as much as we were . They made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We knew were in capable hands and that alone was worth so much to us.  
 
Wedding Reception

Our wedding was big and in the lead up to the big day Catherina was full of great suggestions. She was calm and as a result I was calm. Nothing was left to chance. Every detail ironed out. The whole team were so experienced and had practical ideas for room set up, flower arrangements, and of course seating arrangements. The room was beautiful and we had plenty of space for everyone. The tables and flowers were to a high standard. All our guests commented on how great the food was they were all offered second helpings! No one was disappointed. I was told frequently throughout the night that it was the best wedding they had ever been too! We were delighted with everything.

Nigel looked afer us on the day of the wedding and all I can say is superb! He was so in control, so pleasant and just kind. His team were efficient, polite, professional and always approachable. Once again nothing was too much. When we had a made a seating arrangement faux pas Nigel and his team made it look like nothing had gone wrong.   We were so impressed with everybody. Our whole expereience with The Tower Hotel was brilliant.
Daithi and I want to thank the Catherina, Avril, Nigel and their whole team at the Tower Hotel for making our wedding day so special and memorable. It was best of our lives!

When we got engaged, first thing we wanted to do was book the hotel. We were after being at many weddings in the Tower Hotel and it was always superb so this was the first hotel we went to and needless to say we booked it straight away.

The help we got off the staff was outstanding, from our first visit meeting with Avril when she went through everything with us and we told her what we wanted and she sorted it, Catherina then helped us with the planning in the last few months - she helped me so much, they were both excellent and so helpful, no matter how many times I emailed or rang they always helped me in everyway they could, from table planning to menus and much more. All the staff are so experienced and were happy to assist us in every step of the way.

On the day the wedding reception was absoultely fabulous from the drinks reception to being met outside by the friendly staff with champagne, we could not of been made feel more special. As we had a big wedding -nearly 300 people we needed help with the table arranging, everyone of the staff went out of their way to help me in every way they could to give me the table arrangement I needed to keep family and friends seated together, this made my last few weeks up to the wedding so much easier. The set up of the room was amazing with the flower arrangements and night lights on the tables this made the room look fab, we had a big crowd but yet we had so much comfort.

We cannot say enough about how good the food was, every course was gorgeous. All our guests remarked on how nice everything was. I knew this would be the case as the food and presentation is always perfect in the Tower. Nigel and Michael were brillant in everyway from the run up to the day and on the day from getting the food out and getting nearly 300 people served at the same time and always smiling and making sure everything was perfect, we dont know all the staff's names but we'd like to thank them all as each and every one of them were brilliant on the day.

We don't know how to summarise how brilliant our experience was but all the staff made our wedding day perfect all I can say is it was the best day ever and every single person at our wedding commented on how the Tower was also.

On behalf of our family & friends ,we would like to express our sincerest thank you to the Tower Hotel. From our experience the Tower Hotel runs a fabulous wedding service. Since first deciding upon the Tower Hotel, the Hotel and it's staff have catered for our every need.
 
The experience of their team, made the preparations easy and stress free. The reception was everything we hoped for and more, in particular the room and it's tables were beatuilfully set-up and the food was excellent catering for all dietary requirements.
 
The Tower Hotel staff were amazing to deal with. Apart from their professionalism they went out of their way to ensure it was the happiest day of our life. It was for that reason, we highly recommend the Tower Hotel.

When we decided to get married, both of us were in agreement of what we wanted for the day. We decided on a civil ceremony and meal for close friends and family. We were a little concerned as ours was going to be a small wedding and were fearful that some hotels would not be interested due to the small number of people attending. We visited a number of hotels that are registered for providing civil ceremonies, and when we visited the Tower Hotel we knew within a moment we had found our perfect venue. The greeting we got was 2nd to none and we were made to feel that we were the only people in the world getting married. We did not commit ourselves there and then, however we asked for all the information to be forwarded to us ie: Menu choices and prices. The package we were offered was by far the most cost effective we had received. By the time we got home that evening all the information was waiting for us on email. We booked our wedding at the Tower Hotel the next day and never had to worry about a thing after that. Within the 8 months leading up to the wedding day the team could not have been more helpful and supportive, even lending ears to listen to all our fears and worries about the day and the advice they offered us was great.

We were consulted every step of the way during the 8 month process leading up to the big day and I had some unusual requests and nothing was too much of an effort  for the team (Catherina, Deirdre and Patrick ) to ensure all our requests were granted. Even when the numbers more than doubled close to the wedding this was not an issue for any one of the team and switching rooms to a bigger room was made to seem seamless for the team.

The big day arrived and as agreed with the hotel, Chris the bridesmaid and Mary came to prepare for the day in the bridal suite which was laid out beautifully and I was made to feel like a princess from the minute I arrived. All the staff of the hotel could not do enough to help us. At 4pm there was a knock on the door and it was time for us to take the plunge. Mary was escorted downstairs to the Ardmore suite where John, the registrar and all our guests were waiting. When Patrick opened the door of the room my heart skipped a beat with the layout of the room it was the most romantic setting I have ever seen, the backdrop, the candle lit aisle and the red carpet and lighting in the room was like nothing we had experienced before. I cannot express or explain enough how beautiful the room looked.

Once the ceremony was over we had a mulled wine reception which was waiting the minute the ceremony was over. We then had time to greet and mingle with our guests and have photos taken. The time frame was just right and then the most amazing meal was served. Us and every one of our 70 guests have nothing but compliments regarding the Tower hotel. If we were asked what would we change about the day our answer would be ABSOULTLY NOTHING the day was just perfect.
