Family Friendly Fun in Waterford this Summer

Bring along your family to the oldest city in Ireland, Waterford, and have the time of your life this summer.
 
A highlight will be the Spraoi Parade, one of Ireland’s great carnival events, Flights of Fantasy on Sunday 4th at 3pm. The 2010 parade will be a celebration of man’s achievements to conquer the skies and his many fantastic failures, from the sublime to the downright ridiculous. The Spraoi Parade is a “must see” family event.
 
A complimentary programme of activities will take place from Fri 2 – Sun 4th July 2010 in the People’s Park.  Spraoi in The Park caters for all ages; no-one is too young, or even too old to enjoy the amazing activities which include puppet shows in the Big Top Tent, craft workshops, hands on experiments and eye catching demonstrations using items that you can find at home. Plenty of animal magic involving birds and animals, storytelling in the old style gypsy caravan, and hurling for fun with Waterford GAA coaching and games, just to mention a few of the attractions.
 
There will be lots of music too in four separate areas of the park, from jazz to trad, from country to rock, not forgetting the blues, reggae and pop and the laid back melodies, something for everyone.
 
Bring the whole family along to Waterford this summer and enjoy all the pleasures it has to give and while your there, why not meander through the park soaking up the atmosphere, the fun and the vibrancy that is Spraoi in The Park 2010.
